CDA trade show booth

At Dandy, I had the pleasure of designing and participating in the start to finish process of designing a 20’x20’ trade show booth. At the beginning, some steps we kicked off with included color blocking panels to get a general canvas of balanced visuals. From there, we began to consider copy and their treatments. Where we landed in the end displayed the classic Dandy teal on the exterior, with brand new halftone elements and lighter colors for the interior.

I participated in every step of the process along with the Events team, which included communicating with the vendor to assure all files and specs were correct. We worked together to make sure that the booth represented the core brand while also adding new graphics to draw visitors in. What we created stood out on the show floor, drawing them in to enjoy a coffee at our “Teeth-Staining Station,” and learning more about Dandy.

Lofi mockups and fresh ideas

Organization is top priority when working on a large-scale project. Trade show booths require a level of precision that can jeopardize the file output if not meticulously communicated with the team.

From R1, I added notes for stakeholders to have clear language on how to identify colors they did or did not want. Using lofi mockups also kept the group from veering into the details too early.

I proposed adding light boxes to the top of the panels after collecting inspiration. The final result was a great beacon amongst other trade show booths.
